Announcing New Yoga and Fitness Classes at Oyhut Bay

Are wellness and relaxation part of your New Year’s resolution this year? Just in time to help you with your goals, we’re announcing new fitness and yoga classes at Oyhut Bay! Here’s the January schedule of classes:

Tuesdays and Thursdays starting in January – 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. – Senior Fitness at Oyhut Bay

Join North Beach SAILfitness for a low-impact fitness class especially for seniors each Tuesday and Thursday in January from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. SAIL stands for Staying Active for Independent Living.

Participants can bring their own hand held weights and leg weights if desired but the workout can also be done without using them. Please wear comfortable footwear, preferably sport footwear, and bring a bottle of water to class.

The routine is considered a low impact exercise beginning with a warm up, moving to about 20 minutes of cardio, then balance exercises, weight resistance, ending with stretching.

Class may be performed in a standing position or from a sitting position, or both. The drop-in fee is $4. For the class location, look for signs onsite at Oyhut Bay, 400 Salmonberry Lane SW, Ocean Shores. We are hoping to make this a regular class depending on interest levels. So we hope you can join us!

Saturdays starting in January – 10 to 11:15 a.m. – Saturday Morning Yoga at Oyhut Bay

Join local instructors (including Christa from North Beach Fitness) for Yoga at Oyhut Bay. This is part of a new Saturday yoga series at Oyhut Bay. Each Saturday at 10 a.m. there will be a 1 hr 15 min yoga class with rotating instructors. Classes are rooted in Hatha and Vinyasa and are open to all levels.

Please wear comfortable, flexible and breathable clothing as well as your water bottle. We have a limited number of mats, blocks and straps available to borrow.

Meet onsite at Oyhut Bay, 400 Salmonberry Lane SW, Ocean Shores, and look for signs directing you to the class. $12 drop-in fee. (Bring your own mat for a $1 discount!)

Starting in February – Tuesdays 7:30 – 8:45 p.m. – Moonlight Yoga at Oyhut Bay

Starting February 7th, join Claudette from The Yoga Wagon for Moonlight Yoga each Tuesday from 7:30 to 8:45 p.m. All levels, Yin and Vinyasa. $12 drop-in or $66 for a six-class series. Meet onsite at Oyhut Bay, 400 Salmonberry Lane SW, Ocean Shores and look for signs directing you to the class.
